Abide
In the early 2000s, inspired by the iconic Obey poster by Shepard Fairey and the enduring image of André the Giant's ominous grill, I created a postcard design for Lebowski Fest. A handout. A throwaway, really. Just a fun nod to the Obey meme.
But over the past two decades and after hundreds of designs I've created inspired by The Big Lebowski, and Jeff Bridges' “The dude” character in particular, this artwork has become my most popular creation. It's message, "Abide" has evolved into my daily mantra, a reminder to let go of the things I cannot control and focus on the aspects of my life that I can influence and improve.
